Why We Started
It started close to home.
People in our lives — parents, relatives, close friends in their 50s and 60s — were doing everything right. Eating better, staying active, following their doctor's advice. But they were still feeling off. Tired. Sore. A little foggy. Not quite like themselves.
When they brought it up at their next appointment, the answer was almost always the same: "It's just part of getting older." A few of them refused to accept that. They started digging on their own — reading forums, going through studies, asking questions in online communities — and eventually found real, well-researched options that nobody had ever brought up with them.
That gap between what people needed to know and what they were actually being told — that's where Bentrov came from. Not from a business plan. From real frustration, and a genuine desire to fix it.
Our Story
Bentrov started in Toronto, Ontario — not in a boardroom, and not with a big budget. Just a real problem, a lot of research, and a decision to build something honest in a space full of noise.
We're not a huge health company pushing hundreds of products. Every supplement, device, and wellness tool we carry gets chosen because it actually makes sense for the people we serve. We look at the research, compare the options, and walk away from anything that doesn't hold up.
What makes us different isn't a clever marketing angle. It's the fact that we genuinely care whether what we sell actually works. If we wouldn't use it ourselves, it doesn't make it onto the site. That's the whole standard.
Our Mission
We built Bentrov for men and women between 45 and 70 who are serious about their health — not obsessively, just proactively.
